Summary:
We’re looking for someone to lead and grow our development team. They will have extensive experience, and a great portfolio demonstrating their abilities, passion and desire to push technological boundaries.
Of course, they will be an attentive listener, dedicated to always improving their talents. A mentor to their team, enjoying helping the department flourish and grow within the agency; in fact they’ll get a real kick out of sharing knowledge with others, and applying themselves wherever possible.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Strong portfolio demonstrating solid foundations across multiple technologies (Valid XHTML, CSS, JS).
- Experience of using JS libraries such as jQuery and/or MooTools.
- Experience leading and managing a development team within a multi-disciplinary agency environment, providing mentoring, support, feedback and guidance when required.
- Ability to communicate best practices and feedback to members of the creative team, client services, strategy, technology, UX, PM, and other 3rd party individuals / teams.
- Understanding of how and why back-end technologies are utilized.
- PHP4/5 or other back-end technologies.
- Knowledge of MySQL, able to run optimised and efficient queries.
- Understanding of OOP and programming methodologies such as MVC.
- Expert HTML5, CSS3 skills.
- On-Site SEO experience and understanding.
Qualifications
- 8+ yrs work experience – majority of experience in advertising/marketing with a heavy emphasis on digital and social media
- 5+ years brand / agency experience in fast paced, interactive, multi-media agency environment
- Possess articulate presentation skills and an extreme attention to detail
- Relevant product and industry knowledge
- Experience with relevant software applications
